The past few months

I haven't written or updated this website in about a year. I've been trying to find work and also try to figure out the next career move. I don't have a career to speak of, so I'm maybe considering going back to school. But I really don't want to add to my already huge student loans and I'm not sure what I would want to study. I'm going in circles of what-if scenarios and I get so confused I can't make a decision. This has been going on for so long, I'm just frozen with fear and unknowns.

I started acrylic painting a few months ago, which I haven't done traditional painting in about 10 years. I like my paintings, but they're not conceptional or a commentary on societal issues or revolutionary. This painting is of Takachiho Gorge in Miyazaki prefecture.

I'm told I'm good, but I know plenty of amazing and talented artists. Which is why I didn't pursue art in formal higher education, should I have? As an artist and as a human being, I don't feel good enough or talented enough. No one is reading this, so I'm using this blog almost as a personal journal.

I'll just continue to paint scenery from my travels in Japan, it's all I can do for now. I definitely don't have enough to make an art portfolio. I'll be working on trying to also update this website! See ya
